Call for action to conductors in EU
Invitation to Conductors: Singing for Life Choir Gathering in Haarlem, Netherlands.
Kanker in Beeld/Singing for Life Choirs is delighted to invite conductors from all over Europe to join us at our Choir Gathering in Haarlem on 19 October 2024. Singing for Life choirs support people with cancer and their families.
During this day, we will welcome over 170 participants, and 11 Singing for Life choirs will perform for each other with their favourite songs, in combination with dance and theatre.
We will offer you the opportunity to:
- Get free entry to the gathering and see the Singing for Life choirs perform
- Meet and network with the conductors of the Singing for Life choirs to discover how the choirs work
- Learn about the network of Singing for Life choirs and how we can connect across borders
This special gathering takes place in the context of the SWAN project (Singing With Additional Needs), co-funded by the European Union.

Programme
10.30 hrs: welcome, tea/coffee and sweets
11.00 hrs: start performances of the choirs interwoven with dance.

13.00 hrs: lunch, exchange with Dutch conductors
14.00 hrs: performances of the choirs in combination with dance and improvisation theater
15.30 hrs: drinks
16.00 hrs: end of the programme
We expect over 170 participants of 11 Singing for your life choirs.
